Our Supplier Standards
At BURNT, how our products are made matters.
We work with manufacturing partners who are expected to meet clear standards across labour practices, workplace safety, environmental responsibility and ethical business conduct.
Our Supplier Code of Conduct sets the minimum standards required of our suppliers and their approved manufacturing partners. These standards apply across the facilities involved in producing, finishing, decorating, packing and storing BURNT products.
People & Working Conditions
We expect every person involved in making BURNT products to be treated fairly, safely and with respect.
Our standards include:
- No forced, bonded or involuntary labour
- Zero tolerance for child labour
- Fair wages and legally compliant working hours
- Safe and hygienic working environments
- No discrimination, harassment, abuse or intimidation
- Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
- Responsible and legally compliant employment practices
Health & Safety
Our suppliers are required to maintain safe working environments, including appropriate fire and emergency procedures, safe machinery and chemical handling, access to protective equipment, clean drinking water and adequate sanitation.
Environmental Responsibility
We expect our manufacturing partners to comply with applicable environmental laws and continuously improve how resources and materials are managed.
This includes responsible chemical and wastewater management, waste reduction and recycling, monitoring water and energy use, and ensuring that environmental or recycled-content claims are supported by appropriate certification.
Ethical Business Practices
We expect our suppliers to operate with integrity.
Bribery, corruption, fraudulent records, unauthorised subcontracting and deliberate misrepresentation are not accepted within our supply chain.
Standards & Certification
We work towards a supply chain supported by recognised social, environmental, product safety and quality standards. Depending on the facility and products being manufactured, these include standards and certifications such as amfori BSCI, Sedex/SMETA, OEKO-TEX, GRS, bluesign® and relevant ISO standards.
Accountability
Supplier compliance is not treated as a once-off requirement.
BURNT reserves the right to review and audit manufacturing facilities and requires corrective action where standards are not being met. Serious breaches, including child labour, forced labour or immediate life-threatening safety risks, may result in the suspension or termination of a supplier relationship.
As we grow, we will continue working with our manufacturing partners to strengthen transparency, accountability and responsible practices throughout our supply chain.
